Working it out
PlayStats.app: Time to take the wrapper off
We have an app that’s live and ready to be used. We- well, I- say it’s still in beta, but the reality is, it’s live. You can download either app here: PlayStats Cricket —or create an account from your browser.
I know cricket, and I know how stats relate to the game. In short, PlayStats is a tool that pulls actionable data from the platform PlayHQ, which scores and covers 98% of cricket played in Australia and New Zealand. It can be used by players, supporters, coaches, recruiters, and clubs as an admin resource. The product is evolving organically as we match it to different scenarios; we believe the fundamentals are solid, two state associations are early adopters—it’s time to take the wrapper off.
Tech interests me, and I have a reasonable understanding of how things work and fit together. I guess this means I get what I’m selling, and I recognise the market. We have an outreach pipeline set and a reseller program being refined. The stuff we need to make contact is in place.
Now’s the time for action. It’s time to learn on the job.
Perfectionism can be both your friend and foe. It held me back in my playing career; it keeps my golf handicap higher than it should be. PlayStats offers an opportunity to leave perfection behind. Reach out to my networks first, then ripple out to the unknown. Reality tells us the App won’t be for everyone, but conversion rates indicate success. What is success? For now—one conversation or sign-up at a time. It’s time to work it out.
