Under. Stand. Understand.
The words outweigh the letters
Everyone who writes has access to the 26 letters in most Western languages. As does everyone who speak, but neither knows all the words—a fair assumption?
It had me thinking, and an observation: the more you write, think, and choose your words, the wider your vocabulary gets. So the gap between what you have now and the infinite set is your creative window, a space to explore and push the boundaries of your spectrum.
A Thursday puzzle/conundrum:
What’s the deal when language joins two standalone words?
Under, and stand. Understand.
We know what “under” means. We know what “stand” means.
But put them together, and you get a verb meaning “to grasp the meaning, nature, or importance of something.”
Really, I don’t understand!
Remember: the words outweigh the letters.

And a bonus dad joke, you don’t know how lucky you are, till you do:
Why can’t you trust stairs? “Because, they’re always up to something.”
