Stuff happens for a reason, right?
A friend used to say to me constantly, “The universe will give you what you need”—or something to that effect—I wasn’t always the best listener! And this wasn’t always true.
Anyway, over the weekend, I bumped into some friends who were enjoying time off from family duties. A Sunday sip with live Irish music. It was good, till it wasn’t.
How did that happen? I’m going to use fictional names here, but it went something like this:
The eldest of four arrived first—funny that!
And he was called Jeffery Michael ...
Next a girl, Maggie Rose ...
Third, another girl, Rebecca Flo ...
Now, I might be wrong; it was a Sunday sip, but I think it was then that the owners of the children realised the continuation they had inadvertently created.
Their children’s middle names’ first letters would be the first letters of the next child’s first names. Confused?
Michael to Maggie, Rose to Rebecca, and Flo to ...
They knew #4 was a boy. Hello, Frank.
You can’t make this stuff up. What a nice coincidence.
Too late now, but I should have used, Oh Danny Boy!
